Neligible shelf-wear,bumping,creasing to edges and corners - no nicks,tears or splits present and very minimal,superficial scoring/indents to either board.Bright,crisp,clean,immaculate repeated colour pictorial illustrated endpapers, both hinges intact without any cracking,splits or tears.Top+fore-edges with coloured page edges but clean without foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight,clean, solid and sound - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corner tips - appears unread,other than my own collation.UK, slim Qrto HB minus dw/dj,1st edn,72pp - excluding free endpapers [unpaginated] includes colour pictorial illustrated title page with b/w,pink and grey lettering,73 nursery rhymes,64 single (includes recto and verso of both free endpapers) and 5 double-page colour pictorial illustrattions - all by Janet & Anne Grahame Johnstone,accompanied by its text/rhyme. Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional for a book of it's age and its nature, i.e a child's book,and even internally,the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation.It is only the missing dw/dj that prevents a slightly higher grading.Despite that,it really is an exceptional copy for brightness and cleanliness. Highly collected and prolific children's book illustrators,a scarce and unusual item/ephemera in Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone's bold style and will be an important and welcome addition to the A & J Grahame Johnstone's canon.
